Battery Park

Technical: Canon EOS 7D, 1/125 sec, f22, focal length 70

Battery Park. This image lacks good detail in the foreground. But I’m not sure there’s anything of interest there. The grillwork pattern is repeated to the left and right. But the center grillwork splits the image. It makes the image feel static. There are too many subjects without directing the eye to Cousin David’s interest in this photo. I guess the best quote I think to myself, “It’s not a picture.” Then I take my finger off the shutter and move my feet, camera, compose, and shoot a different image that won’t be lost on the editing table.
