Technical: Canon EOS 7D, 1/640 sec, focal length 50, f1.4

If you will notice, the f-stop is 1.4 in this image and in the previous post on roses. David has done some elaborate shots with HDR taking numerous images and stacking them to get super focus and super depth of field. What’s up? You have gone back to the most shallow focus. Therefore you want whatever you focused upon to be sharp and all else to fall away in that nebulous space called bokeh. This image is technically sound but I am not a fan of wilted blossoms.
