Bad Bokeh

Technical: Canon EOS 7D, 1/125 sec, focal length 135, f6.3

This is cousin David’s title. In my experience taking photos of dragonflies is no simple task. They just don’t remain stationary for long. After all that if you can complain about the background, you are way ahead of me. This is a good photo, which isolates the dragonfly. I’d have liked the wings to be in an up position. But that’s being picky. This image works because the compound eye is sharp. Even for a bug it is helpful to focus on the eyes. I suppose the upper bright background is what David thinks is distracting. I think it’s still a good photo.
