San Francisco Bay

Technical: Canon EOS 7D, 1/250 sec, f7.1, focal length 33

I have been to San Francisco often enough to recognize Alcatraz in the background. Cousin David has an almost head on shot of a sailboat race. Once again it’s about pattern and symmetry. The white sails contrast nicely. It’s a really good shot. From land 1/250 sec exposure is fine. If you were riding in a chase boat, you would want to use 1/500 or even more. Consider cropping to a panoramic and cut out the bland sky and water below. Still, my first reaction was that this is a fine shot.
