Wow. The cat’s eye is wonderfully reflective. I can’t say that I like the window shade. But overall the image she took is well exposed and detailed. I have said before that the iPhone takes a pretty good picture within the limits of the camera’s technology. The reason to use a spiffy expensive ‘bells and whistles’ DSLR is that there is a better chance that ‘what you see is what you will get.’ In practical terms I have more reliable control of the image with the Nikon D200. But there are times when the Canon G11 is the right size. It has a macro setting, which is very convenient. My Nikon L3 is hardly ever used these days. It’s not reliably giving me images I like.
